Michael Derrick Hudson lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he works at the Allen County Public Library encoding articles for the Periodical Source Index (PERSI). His poems have appeared in Columbia, Georgia Review, Gulf Coast, Iowa Review, New Orleans Review, New Letters, Northwest Review, Painted Bride Quarterly (Issue 64 and Print Annual I), Washington Square, and other journals. He won the River Styx 2009 International Poetry Contest, the Madison Review’s 2009 Phyllis Smart Young Prize, both the 2010 and 2013 New Ohio Review Prize for Poetry, and the 2011 Old Red Kimono Paris Lake contest. One of his poems was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Greensboro Review.
