Congratulations, Mary McMyne!

April 2, 2014 by PBQ

We are proud to announce that one of our contributors to the 86th issue of PBQ, Mary McMyne is publishing her first chapbook, Wolf Skin. The collection of fairy tale poems will include the two previously published in Painted Bride Quarterly: “Heyghoge,” and “The Butterfly Dome.” You’ll be able to get a copy from Dancing Girl Press this summer.

Mary was also recently awarded the Fall 2013 Promise Award from the Sustainable Arts Foundation for her work-in-progress novel, The Book of Gothel. Set in 12th century Germany and the modern day, the book speculates about the historical roots of some of our most beloved fairy tales. We can almost smell the gingerbread men and feel the fairy dust!
