Marina Nougues is the author of the cover for issue 69

Born in Buenos Aires in 1974, Marina Nougues studied Anthropology and Literature but decided to further her studies in Photography, which began in 1995. She participated in two group exhibitions in Argentina. She lived in New York from 2000-2003, where she exhibited at SUNY Stony Brook. She recently returned to Argentina.

Her images speak of Buenos Aires. An idea of Buenos Aires. Her main interest is in the idea of memory, how traces of past experience can be found in objects and places. Her working tools are images and fiction, understanding memory as a full circle between collective memory and her own. The idea of fiction is crucial, moving the axis from the image as mimesis of reality.
